Never having been to North Devon and having heard how nice it is I did a bit of 'Googling'. Using google maps I quickly identified a lovely campsite equidistant from all the main attractions. Stowford Farm Meadows.
The site is about 500 acres in size, has excellent amenities, free hot showers and WiFi when you can access it and some of the most stunning views across the rolling hills! Chuck in a restaurant, swimming pool, shop, horse riding, crazy golf and there is lots to do for all the family form little kid's to OAP's!
Only drawback is the M5 around Bristol and some parts of the site can be steep so if your in your Caravan, take some wooden blocks or ask at reception. Give it a try its bostin' as the say in the 'Black country!
Sadly, there was a down side to this holiday. Our Kia Sportage 4 x 4 designed to tow 2000kgs fried its clutch in the horrendous traffic dragging our paltry 1300kgs and finally gave up the ghost on the campsite. Ringing around it was obvious we would have to limp around on the clutch until we could get home but, no way could we tow the tintent!
Luckily for us, our friends, Ian and Michelle were with us and ferried us around for the week. We organised for a replacement clutch to be fitted on the Monday after we got back and then organised for the campsite to hold the van in storage for us and we booked another weeks holiday the following week on the same site. There was loads left to see, the beer and music festival will be on when we get back down there and so will I believe the local carnival! Bonus!!
Cost of a new clutch/release bearing and dual mass flywheel? Fitted for the princely sum of £1044.00! Not impressed for a car less than four years old and only 41k. However, we bought it at 2 1/2 years old so you don't know how it was driven before we had it?

Not our clutch but this is a similar design.
